Types of stainless steel tubes
We stock round, square and rectangular stainless tubes in AISI 304 and 316L – from thin-walled decorative tubes to thick-walled tubes for industry and structures.
Round stainless tubes
The widest choice – from Ø 6 mm to Ø 323.9 mm, wall thickness 1 – 4 mm. For railings and handrails, pipelines, the food industry, exhausts and chimneys.
Square stainless tubes
Wall thickness 1 – 6 mm. For railings, gates, load-bearing structures, furniture and equipment.
Rectangular stainless tubes
Wall thickness 1 – 6 mm. For handrails, frames, railing posts, machine frames and architectural details.
Grade and finish
The choice of grade depends on the environment the tube will work in, and the finish on whether the tube will be visible.
- AISI 304 (1.4301)
- The most commonly used stainless steel. Excellent for interiors, railings, food equipment and most outdoor applications.
- AISI 316L (1.4404)
- Contains molybdenum, so it handles salt, chlorine and acids better. Recommended for coastal areas, swimming pools, the chemical and pharmaceutical industry.
- Brushed (satin) tubes
- Matte, uniform look that hides fingerprints and scratches well – the standard for railings and handrails.
- Polished (bright) tubes
- Bright, mirror-like surface for decorative and architectural applications.
- Custom grinding
- We can additionally grind tubes in our own facility – see tube grinding.
